Why are CDOs so highly represented there?

The answer to that intriguing question—and many others—was provided by four panelists from the advertising industry at the 2013 CDO Summit panel “Isn’t All Marketing Digital Now?” A Conversation with People Who Are Making It Happen.

The inaugural Chief Digital Officer Summit was held February 28, 2013, at Thomson Reuters world headquarters at 3 Times Square in New York City.

    Find it fascinating that ad agencies are leading the way on the CDO talent map. Would have guessed otherwise. Clearly ad peeps realize that if clients are not proactive about digital trends they will hurt the bottom line and not effectively communicate with the publics they serve.

      Based on our panelists’ observations, ad agencies are discovering that they need to lead and inspire their clients in how to make their digital programs work. To make this happen, many have decided that it is not just “nice” but critical to create a focused unit dedicated just to digital.
