From Our 11th CDAO Summit (Tues Oct 1)

Happy halloween!

Thanks to everyone who joined our 11th CDAO Summit, which was held at the University of Maryland on Tuesday October 01, 2024.

This year’s CDAO Summit explored AI, digital transformation, data-driven culture, real-time analytics, and the impact of AI on media, journalism, society - and even outer space!

Delegates were given a warm welcome by emcee Sree Sreenivasan, then treated to the opening keynote by David Mathison on the "Chief AI Officer Talent Map 2024."

Mathison moderated the first panel of the day on "Data-Driven Defense: The CDAOs Role in Advancing Ethical AI + Data Strategies to Strengthen National Security, Preparedness, and Competitiveness." Danny Brock of Fiddler AI then delivered a keynote on "Responsible AI is ROI: The Critical Role of AI Observability."

Michael Krigsman then moderated a panel on "The Future of Space, Data, and AI - Why This Matters for Organizations Here on Earth," followed by a panel moderated by Mathison on "Data and AI Talent as a Service."

David Chivers moderated the final two panels, the first on "Transforming Journalism, Media, and Storytelling in the Age of AI," and the second on "Building Trust: The CDAOs Role in Crafting Ethical and Explainable Data and AI Strategies to Protect the Public."
