Meet AI Hiring Leaders from The White House OSTP, CAIO at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Depts of Defense (DoD) and Homeland Security (DHS) at the CAIO Summit Wed Oct 2
Today I am thrilled to announce one of the most exciting and informative panels at the upcoming Chief AI Officer Summit on October 2, on “Securing Federal AI Talent: Strategies to Drive Innovation, Enhance Cybersecurity, and Ensure National Competitiveness.”
As AI technologies revolutionize the public sector, securing top AI talent becomes critical for driving innovation, enhancing cybersecurity, and ensuring national competitiveness.
This panel brings together leading experts from pivotal government entities to discuss strategies for attracting, developing, and retaining AI professionals within the federal landscape.
Join us for a dynamic discussion on the future of AI talent in government and how to cultivate an environment where innovation thrives and security is enhanced.
In my humble opinion, this panel alone is worth the price of admission, ESPECIALLY if you are a digital, data, analytics or AI expert looking to find work in the US government, Armed Services, or at federal agencies.
If you'd like to hear from AND network with these AI and Data leaders in an intimate setting, be sure to REGISTER TODAY - this event is NEXT WEEK!
Check out the backgrounds of our featured guests below:
Stephanie Hunter is the Deputy Director, Defense Digital Talent Management, Development and Training at the Department of Defense's Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office (CDAO). The mission of the CDAO is to accelerate the Department of Defense (DoD) adoption of data, analytics, and AI from the boardroom to the battlefield to enable decision advantage. Stephanie and her team lead and oversee DoD' s strategy development and policy formulation for data, analytics, and AI.
Guy Cavallo is the CIO and Acting Chief AI Officer at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM), where he leads the Agency’s enterprise information technology services for both federal employees and retirees. He also is leading its IT modernization program, launching OPM’s migration to the cloud initiative in 2021. OPM is now the third agency that he has led to the cloud. He previously served as the Deputy CIO at the Small Business Administration (SBA). He was a key leader in helping SBA leverage the cloud to quickly implement the CARES Act Payroll Protection Program and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan programs. Those programs distributed over $450B in a short period of time to America’s small businesses and citizens.
Olivia Zhu is the Assistant Director for AI Policy at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, where she works on promoting the safe and trustworthy use of AI, including through the recent AI Executive Order. Prior to working on AI policy for the Biden-Harris Administration, she worked at technology companies, including Amazon and Microsoft Research, building AI products. She has overseen over 10 launches of AI products across problem spaces ranging from search ranking to sales to pricing products.
Michael Boyce is the Director of DHS AI Corps at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The AI Corps is an initiative to bring 50 AI-experts into the Department of Homeland Security in the "digital service" model to tackle key challenges for mission operations such as fentanyl interdiction, combating online child sex abuse, promoting efficient immigration processes, and assessing disaster damages. Prior to DHS, Michael held several roles in the Executive Office of the President (EOP); and from 2017-2019 he was Product and Strategy Lead/Bureaucracy Hacker at the United States Digital Service (USDS).
