Taking risks is critical to success for the chief artificial intelligence officer, according to government and commercial AI leaders who met at the inaugural Chief AI Officer (CAIO) Summit in Boston last week.

Hundreds of agencies across the federal government are scrambling to find more than 400 chief AI officers by the end of the year. CAIOs from all sectors will gather for the inaugural Chief AI Officer Summit in Boston on Dec. 14.
