BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA, August 1, 2013 (via RSPCA press release) – The RSPCA’s Queensland branch in Brisbane has become the first to appoint a chief digital officer. Former digital strategy manager at Bond University Christian Bowman will be joining the team on August 5, 2013.
This will not be the first time Christian Bowman has helped the RSPCA. In 2002, Bowman developed the organisation’s public website and their first ever mobile campaign in the form of RSPCA themed ringtones and logos.
In 2006 Bowman was also one the driving forces behind their first ever online store worldforpets.com.au, at which time he also started the first RSPCA social media profiles.

Mr Bowman accepted being the new ‘CDO’ and it is the first leadership role of its kind for the RSPCA, and potentially the whole not-for-profit sector domestically. At age 33, Bowman could also be the youngest CDO of any large organisation in Australia.
Bowman who has over 12 years’ experience under his belt as a digital professional brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to the largest animal welfare organisation in Australia.
